lyrics
Here's a song about Billy John and what he meant to me, how he came to waste his life, working for his family at least that's what he'd have had me believe.
See Billy does't love his wife and doesn't know his kids. Just counts his money 123, thinks you're all who I used to be and what he's got is all he'll ever be. He's got his sights set on victory can't you see that your ambition will leave you the dust of me.
Billy doesn't like the feel of the cool wind on his face. too busy with facts and figures, got to win the race, but he who laughs last always laughs alone.
His mistress now wants marrying and the tax man wants his cut and your yes men have disappeared and you're down on your luck. Suddenly Billy's trying to crawl home. but your babies have flown. Garden's all overgrown and it's a hard and it's an unforgiving throne. You've got your sights set on victory can't you see that your ambition will leave you the dust of me.

saw this live when they were performing with Jeff Rosenstock. The Goosebumps from seeing the pure emotion in the finale was so raw and passionate. it made me appreciate being able to attend live music again! vvilko

Lande's stripped-down, propulsive tracks are sheer pop joy and smart, soul-searching indie rock catharsis all at once. The melodies are earworms, sticking with you for days. The only criticism I have is it eventually ends- though the ending is classic. Recommended. michael salmons
